After receiving B.Arch at Yıldız Technical University in 2001, I decided to go forward with an academic career on the field of Computational Design. Along with my graduate education, I worked as a teaching assistant at YTU Faculty of Architecture Computational Design Unit between 2002-2011. In my master thesis, I developed an educational tool for architectural education, regulating a specific building typology. This shaped my initial orientation not only as a researcher on the relationship between computation and architectural design, but also as an active educator on this field. My phD. study was a search for a deeper understanding on the integration of computational design pedagogy; specifically focusing on the evolution of “beginnings” in architectural education. Since 2011, I’ve been working as an assitant professor at İstanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Architecture Computation-based Basic Design, Parametric Modeling, Design Computing and Architectural Geometry courses.
