Designcoding WordPress Theme
Designcoding is a lightweight, content-focused WordPress theme built around simplicity, speed, and readability. It uses a clean desktop layout with a responsive mobile version and does not require any plugins, page builders, external frameworks, or third-party services. The theme has been tested with LocalWP on a clean WordPress installation and works as intended. The theme includes several built-in content discovery features. Explore uses tags to help visitors discover related topics, while individual posts can automatically display up to five Related Posts based mainly on shared tags and categories. Code blocks include a lightweight Copy button, making the theme particularly useful for programming and technical articles. Search, category navigation, archives, pagination, featured images, and responsive embeds are all handled directly by the theme without plugins. Currently, the site allows 3dm, gh, ghx, py and zip upload. You will need to modify the functions.php to extend this list.
Three optional WordPress pages can be created to enable additional navigation features. Create normal Pages and assign the Keywords, Monthly Archive, and Table of Contents templates to them. Keywords displays the site’s tags, Monthly Archive provides chronological navigation, and Table of Contents automatically organizes posts through their category structure. These pages are optional: if they are not created, the theme simply hides their links and continues working normally. Designcoding intentionally disables WordPress’s automatic intermediate image generation and large-image scaling. For this reason, body images should be prepared at 600 px wide before uploading. Featured images used as post thumbnails are constrained to a 100 × 100 px display area, so larger featured images will not break the post-list layout. Preparing and optimizing images before upload is recommended and fits the theme’s overall philosophy of keeping WordPress simple, predictable, and fast.
This theme represents not only a website, but also a memory. Yes, it is a little old-fashioned and not particularly attractive. But it reflects the simplicity that has always been at the heart of designcoding’s philosophy. Like me, it has grown a little older, but it is still standing. I originally created this theme in 2011, when designcoding was founded, by modifying a theme called Plainscape. Visual design trends have changed enormously over the years. Last month, I started revisiting the theme and took it through several stages of refinement. It has now reached its final form, so I wanted to share it as a project in its own right. You can download the ZIP file and try it on a clean WordPress installation. I have tried to summarize its main features above. If I make further updates in the future, I will continue adding them to this post.

Rhino Viewport Colors

Circular Relationship Diagram
